The Gingerbread House Contest and the
Christmas Decoration contests will be held during the annual
Candlelight Walk on Dec. 7. There are cash prizes for each
category of $25 first place, $15 second place, and $10 third place.
All gingerbread houses must be 95 percent edible (home baked or
other). All Christmas decorations must be handmade.
Antique entries will be accepted as long as they were handmade/homemade. The entries will be judged the night of the Candlelight
Walk on Dec. 7. Entry forms may be obtained from Tellico Plains
Library, Tellico Plains City Hall, the Bookshelf, and Tellico Video.

The Bookshelf is pleased to announce
that Oak Ridge author, Dr. Eva Wike, will be signing copies of her
book, Fiddler of the Mountains - Attuned to the Life and Times of
Johnny Mull, during the Christmas Candlelight Walk on Saturday, Dec. 7
from 5 to 7 p.m. The book tells the story of her uncle and the
struggles of his family in the Appalachian mountains. Located

Friends of the Tellico Plains Public
Library will be sponsoring an Art Sale at the Candlelight Walk on
Dec. 7, in Tellico Plains. All artwork was created by
the students of the Tellico Plains High School. Please come by
and do some Christmas shopping, and help support the Tellico Plains
Library! All proceeds benefit the library.

having a Christmas Play "The Greatest Story Ever Told" on
Dec. 14 and 15 with both nights beginning at 6 p.m.
