MADISONVILLE-A Madisonville man who has
been jailed for everything from murder to attempted car jackings has
been sent to Moccasin Bend mental health facility in Chattanooga to
see if he's competent to stand trial.
Joshua Matthew Anderson, 31, Tellico
Street, was in Monroe County General Sessions Court on a slew of
charges Tuesday, but Judge Reed Dixon decided to have his mental
health checked for the case advanced any further.
In his most recent arrest in September,
both the Monroe County Sheriff's Office and the Madisonville Police
Department said Josh Anderson was in the middle of Tellico Street at
various times, stopping cars and demanding the drivers get out. When
they refused, Anderson allegedly threw rocks at their vehicles or
otherwise threatened them.
