For a town that depends heavily on
sales tax to operate, Madisonville recently received some good news.
Bojangles, a fast food chain
specializing in chicken, has submitted a site plan to open a location
on Highway 411.
"The location will be at the
intersection of Highway 411 and Ball Play Road," said Mayor
Glenn Moser, "next to People's Bank. They need to get state
approval to relocate some drainage tiles, but should start
construction after that."
Madisonville City Codes Enforcement
Officer Tony Wilson said he is reviewing the construction plans and
everything looks good.
"Not sure when they'll start," he said, "but I'm sure they've done this enough they could
probably have it done by Christmas if they wanted."
Wilson also said that another fast food
chain, Taco Bell, has inquired about locating in Madisonville, but
there is nothing official yet.
"We'd love to have them," he
said, "but that's very preliminary right now."
