A criminal summons has been filed
against a Sweetwater High School teacher accused of striking a
17-year-old student at the school last week.
The parents of the alleged victim took
out a criminal summons for assault against on a minor against the
teacher, Priscilla Shadden of Madisonville.
Monroe County School System officials
said Shadden has admitted to them that she struck the student.
The alleged victim said he pushed a
girl on the shoulder and Shadden told him to keep his hands to
himself. The boy told investigators he told Shadden in a joking
manner "we all need to keep our hands to ourselves" and then
Shadden slapped him.
