The third annual Miss Muscadine contest
was held Saturday in Sweetwater two weeks before the Muscadine
Festival with Darby Baker winningt he Miss Muscadine title.
Other winners included:
Little Miss Muscadine Jr Teen: Morgan
Green, Little Miss Muscadine Sweetheart Hannah Beth Bibee; contestants Melyssah Sloan (most photogenic), Ella Wheeler (top five
finalist), Ashley Howard, Victoria Dennis (top five finalist),
Sarabeth Harrill (first runner-up), Darby Baker (Miss Muscadine),
Faith Shaw (Miss Congeniality & 2nd runner up), Julia Forrest,
Kaitlyn Davis, Alexandra Kyle, Bethany Cooper, Brittany Lenard, and
Miss Muscadine can be seen next at the
parade on Saturday, Sept. 28, and she will begin her duties next week
promoting the festival.
Thirteen firls from Sequoyah, McMinn
County, McMinn Central, Tellico Plains, and Sweetwater high schools entered the
pageant. Judges included professional actresses and models, and
those involved in the fashion industry as well as previous pageant
winners and judges.
