The third annual Sweetwater Muscadine
Festival is fast approaching slated for Sept. 27-29.
But before the three-day event at the
end of the month, the Miss Muscadine pageant will be held at 6:30
p.m. at Sweetwater Elementary's auditorium on Saturday, Sept. 14.
Tsali Notch vineyard will have You-Pick
available Friday, September 27. The scene then shifts to
downtown Sweetwater That night from 7 to 10 p.m, Southbound will host
a concert at the gazebo. Several vendors will be set up during
the evening also.
A parade at 10 a.m. down Main Street in
Sweetwater will open a full day of activities on Saturday, Sept. 28.
Admission is free. Live music, Vendors, BBQ, and demonstrations
from guests including Southern Living and the UT Extension office
will be in downtown Sweetwater. There will be a shuttle running to
Tsali Notch, who is hosting several activities including crafters and
music, and The Lost Sea from downtown.
A new event, the Sweetwater's Got
Talent competition, will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept.
29 at the Sweetwater Duck Park.
Contestents may from register Noon to 1
p.m. that Sunday.
