A Madisonville area man was charged
with aggravated assault with a firearm after he allegedly shot into a
house late Thursday evening.
Monroe County Sheriff's Deputy C.J.
Williams said it was just before 8 p.m. when he went to a home on
Wilson Station Road and talked with Keith Morgan who said he had been
arguing with his neighbors.
Morgan said he was in his yard when
Dawn Nelson began yelling at him. Morgan said she and Phillip Nelson
were sitting on their front porch when he saw Dawn Nelson reach for a
pistol on a table.
Morgan said when Nelson picked the gun
up, he fired a shot in self defense. Morgan said later he blacked out
during the incident and thought he might have fired two to three
shots, but didn't know in which direction he had aimed.
