VONORE-For the second time this summer,
a Vonore plant caught fire.
ProTech Finishing, which puts chemical
finishing on products for the aerospace industry, is located in the
Niles Ferry Industrial Park off Highway 411. It caught fire in June,
but no one was reported hurt.
No one was reported hurt early Monday
when the plant caught fire again around 12:30 a.m. Owners Mike and
Nancy Huddleston told Vonore Police Officer Grant Graves they had
left the building around 11:30 p.m. Sunday and didn't see any signs
Graves said he saw smoke billowing from
the warehouse building when he arrived and Vonore, Tri Community and
Greenback fire departments put it out.
