The Celebrity Waiter fundraiser for the
fight against cancer was a big success on Aug. 3 in Sweetwater. The
event raised $13,266.
The waiters not only served their table but
they were the entertainment of the evening.
was Wood Home & Village, raising $1,740, receiving a two-night
stay at the Norma Dan Motel in Pigeon Forge. The second-place
fundraiser was Barry Hall and the celebrity he portrayed was Rodney
Dangerfield, bringing in $1,347. The third-place winner was Charles
Ridenour as Old McDonald, raising $1,229.
