A 60-year-old motorcycle rider from
Alabama was killed late Sunday morning when he pulled into the path
of an SUV near Coker Creek, according to the Tennessee Highway
THP Trooper Carl Duryeah Jr. said Leon
Frank Hicks Jr. of Pisgah, Ala., was killed on Highway 68 when he
attempted to pass another vehicle on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The trooper said Hicks struck a 2013 GMC Acadia driven by Gary Lynn
Evans, 68, Lagrange, G.a., head on.
Evans and his passenger were not
injured in the crash.
The trooper's report said alcohol and
drugs were not believed to be a factor in the crash.
