woman accused in a 2012 death was scheduled for last week, but a
scheduling conflict with an expert witness has put it off until early
Kimberly Sue Ricker and Wayne Clarence
Jones were scheduled to go to trial date on June 25, but the
scheduling conflict nixed that date.
The two are now scheduled to go to
trial Feb. 25, 2014. Being a murder charge, the case is considered
priority, but with so many people involved, the closest date
everything could be put together is seven months away. Both Ricker
and Jones are in custody.
The two were arrested after Mary Shaw,
79, died on March 10, 2012, several days after she had reportedly
been abused so badly by Rickers, 45, that she ended up in Woods
Hospital in Etowah. Authorities said Ricker is also known by the
names Jones, Maddox, Mitchell and Chastain.
