It was a weekend of chases for Monroe
County Sheriff's Deputy Brady Bowers.
It started around 4 p.m. Saturday when
Bowers was on Highway 411 near Vonore and spotted a speeding red BMW,
according to arrest warrants.
Bowers attempted to stop the car near
Highway 72 East, but it kept going into Loudon, then Blount County.
The BMW ran a red-light at the intersections of Highways 129 and 411,
went between two vehicles and ran over a curb and into the parking
lot of the Junction Gas Station.
The BMW then ran through some grass and
back onto the highway where it ran into a patrol car driven by Capt.
Travis Jones. The BMW then spun around and hit the patrol car of Sgt.
Jones tried to block the car, but it
hit him again, then backed into Haynes car again, revving the engine
the entire time.
