SWEETWATER-A Sweetwater man has been
charged with shooting his brother after an argument Saturday at a
McCaslin Avenue residence.
According to arrest warrants filed by
Sweetwater Police Detective Kevin Watson, Terry Wayne Griffin, 54,
stands charged with shooting his brother, Doug Griffin, 60, after the
two men had a heated argument in the garage at the residence.
The official charges are aggravated
assault by domestic violence and possession of a stolen firearm after
the gun Terry Griffin allegedly used, a .38-caliber, was determined
to be stolen from McMinn County.
Terry Griffin's wife said she heard a
loud bang in the garage and her husband told her to call 911 because
he had shot his brother.
The shooting victim was flown to the
University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville for treatment. He
was listed in serious condition on Monday.
