SWEETWATER-Walmart officials say people
are applying hot and heavy for the 200 available jobs at the new
Sweetwater store slated to open in September.
According to store manager Daniel
Casillas, at least 200 applicants applied during the first week of

Casillas spoke to city commissioners
Monday while they met as the Beer Board to approve Walmart's beer
Casillas said at that pace, about 1,500
applications will be filed either at the hiring center at 777 New
Highway 68 or online at careers.walmart.com. Casillas said the store
is also getting a lot of transfer request from nearby stores.
Then commissioners asked the question
everyone in Sweetwater seems to be asking.
Will the new Walmart store have a gas
"I have been pushing for gas and
diesel," Casillas said.
