Adam Kefauver has taken the baseball
coach¬≠ing job at Stone Memorial in Crossville, leaving the
position at Sequoyah he has held for six years.
"The main reason is family," said
Kefauver, whose departure was first announced via a press release
from Stone Memorial Friday. "My wife's family is from the
Cookeville area. And now that we have a 5-month-old, being two hours
away from her family was difficult. We felt like that's where God was
leading us. I got a good vibe from there and the people I talked to
Kefauver, an alumnus of Sequoyah High
School who led the Chiefs to three consecutive District 5-AA regular
season and tournament champion¬≠ships and the 2013 Region 3-AA
title, looked back on his time with the Chiefs fondly.
