Sweetwater High School is mourning the loss of teacher Vivian Haun, who
was killed in an automobile accident in Blount County Saturday.
Haun, 63, who lived in Friendsville, died in a four-vehicle crash Saturday morning on West
Lamar Alexander Parkway.
Haun was killed instantly after she
collided with a 2011 Honda Pilot driven by 77-year-old Marion Wynne, of Kimball, said Maryville
Police Chief Tony Crisp.
Police said everyone involved were
wearing their seat belts except for Haun. While air bags were deployed inside Haun's vehicle,
there was no air bag deployment reported in any of the other three vehicles involved.
"She was a very sensitive, caring and humorous person," said fellow
faculty member and friend Simone Taylor.
