SWEETWATER-The opening of the Walmart
in Sweetwater is now just months away.
The Advocate & Democrat spoke
Thursday with the man who will serve as the store's manager when it
opens, Daniel Casillas.
"Everybody is real excited," he
said about the store coming to town. "Everyone has been nothing but
Casillas is from Union County in
Tennessee. He has spent the last 10 years managing stores for Walmart
in Georgia and has been with the company overall 12 years.
The new Sweetwater store will not have
an auto center and will not have a gas station when it opens Sept.
11. Casillas said a pad is being built for a gas station in the
future and an effort will be made to have one at the Sweetwater
store. Casillas said the store will have a very nice fabric shop,
grocery store, pharmacy and garden center.
