SWEETWATER-A Sweetwater area man and
woman were arrested Monday after they allegedly led sheriff's
deputies on a high-speed chase that ended in a field.

Woods said just after 2 p.m. he and Deputy Wes Martin spotted a a
silver truck that had been reported stolen from a home on Mountain
Woods had to chase the truck onto
Sweetwater/Vonore Road where the driver, identified as Boyd Eugene
Cable, 27, drove in the Vonore direction while items began to fly out
of the back of the truck.
Woods said Cable turned onto Seed Tick
Road where Cable allegedly threw a black box out of the window and
threw other items out of the truck in an attempt to disable Woods' car.
