MADISONVILLE-An attack by a pit bull
dog has left the Madisonville Police Department trying to figure out
who did what on March 24.
The initial call was taken by Animal
Control Officer Damien Cook, who said he went to Topside Drive just
after 1 p.m. and talked with David and Marjorie Taube. The Taubes
said while David was walking their dog, two pit bulls came up,
grabbed their dog and dragged it away to kill it.
The two pit bulls then ran to another
house where John Kenny allegedly shot the two dogs after he said they
attacked his dog.
Cook said he found the two dogs dead
and found Bobby Slone had been keeping the dogs while his
granddaughter was out of town. Cook said he gave Slone a ticket for
dogs running loose.
