Five months after it happened, a
Tellico Plains area man has been charged with vehicular assault and
Tennessee Highway Patrolman Chris Best
said it was on Oct. 12, 2012, when Andrew Shadden, 30, Mecca Pike,
crossed the centerline on Highway 68 (Best didn't specify which
area of the highway) and hit two other cars before running off the
Best said Shadden was unsteady on his
feet and attempted to perform some sobriety tests, but was unable to
finish them due to injuries he had suffered. He did, however, consent
to have blood drawn.
