MADISONVILLE-The first alleged
homicide in Madisonville homicide since late 1990s is beginning to move slowly through the court
system. Leon McKenley Bell, 24, was in court last week as he was
assigned his third lawyer since the alleged September killing that put him in the court system.
Court records show Leon Shanan was first assigned to represent Bell then Chessia Cox inherited the
case and now Brian Nichols is the lawyer of record. Shahan and
Cox only listed "conflict" as being the reason they couldn't represent Bell. See full story in the Sunday, March 3, edition of
