SPD investigates suicide
Author: Tommy Millsaps SWEETWATER-Sweetwater Police investigated a suicide Wednesday night. SPD officers responded to a call about a man threatening to harm himself around 8:30 p.m.. SPD spotted the man driving on Monroe Street and attempted to stop him, but officers said the man continued on Oakland Road toward the interstate. Police said the man eventually pulled his car off the road near I-75 and fatally shot himself.
