SWEETWATER-A Sweetwater area man was arrested on a laundry list of charges Thursday morning after he allegedly assaulted a family member, then led law enforcement on a high-speed chase.

Monroe County Sheriff's Deputy Wes Martin said he was going to a domestic assault call on Reed Springs Road around 11:30 a.m. and saw several people standing in the yard. Martin said he backed out and the SUV hit Reed Springs Road at a high rate of speed.
