A 39-year-old Sweetwater man was killed
when his SUV crashed at an Interstate 75 bridge in Loudon County
early Sunday morning.
Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Adam
Woody said Gregory Collette was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe in the
southbound lane. The trooper said the SUV left the roadway on the
left side, going into the median.
The trooper said the vehicle struck a
guardrail and flipped onto its side and then slid into the bridge
embankment.
Trooper Woody's report said Collette
had been drinking. Alcohol and drug tests were ordered as is standard
procedure in fatal accidents to see if indeed anything contributed to
or caused the accident.
