MADISONVILLE-A Madisonville area man
who burned down his brother's mobile home in March of 2012 was
given a 10-year sentence in Monroe County Criminal Court last week.
Charles Hollandsworth Jr., 40, received
the sentence from Judge Carroll Ross after pleading guilty to a
charge of aggravated arson. The sentence was commuted to a long
stretch on probation after Hollandsworth was given credit for the
nearly 11 months he has spent in jail since committing the crime.
It was March 12 of last year when
Monroe County Sheriff's Captain Travis Jones said he and Deputy
Brady Bowers arrived at the home on Wilson Station Road in response
to a domestic disturbance and saw the home fully engulfed in flames.
Jones said he spoke with Wayne Sloan who said he had been in the
trailer when the power went out.
