TELLICO PLAINS - It was a battle of county rivals Friday night as the Lady Bears played host to the Lady Wildcats of Sweetwater. The Lady Bears used their pressure defense to handle the Lady Wildcats easily Friday night.

The Lady Bears had two players in double figures as Jasmine Harris and Bailey Hunt reached that point. The Lady Cats had one player in double figures in Betsy Mashburn. Tyra Hurst netted 7 for th Lady Cats.

The Lady Bears would jump out to 17-6 first quarter lead on the hot shooting hand of Harris. Harris would score 11 of her 20 points in the first quarter. In the second quarter Tellico would once again dominate on both ends of the court and take a 28-16 lead into the locker room at the half.

The Lady Bears would turn up the defensive pressure in the third quarter as the Lady Bears would hold Sweetwater to only two third quarter points. Valerie Cheek, Harris, Hunt, and Tori McMinn would all score for the Lady Bears and lead the Lady Bears to a commanding 41-18 lead at the end of the third.  The Lady Bears would cruise through the fourth quarter and take the win very easy 50- 30.
