SWEETWATER – McMinn Central picked up a pair of lopsided victories against District 5-AA foe Sweetwater High School, but neither winning coach will find many clips for the post-season highlight film. The Chargerettes scored the game’s first 17 points and held the Lady Wildcats to a single field goal in each of the first two periods to lead, 29-5, at the intermission, sailing away to a 60-15 win. The Chargers also had problems scoring early, but their biggest struggles came on defense before a 14-6 run to close the third period opened a 14-point gap en route to a 71-50 win. Sweetwater will face Tellico in a county matchup on Friday. SWEETWATER – Greene 3, Mashburn 2, Hurst 2, Thomasson 6, Rasmusson 2.
