MADISONVILLE-A Madisonville man has
been indicted by a Monroe County Grand Jury after he allegedly
kidnapped a woman last October, saying he would cut her if she didn't
go.
Vonore Police Detective Mack Williams
said the alleged victim told him she was taken from a room at the
Grand Vista Hotel in Vonore on Oct. 19 by Darrell Lee Voiles Jr. She
told Williams that Voiles ripped her pants and underwear off and
walked her to her car, saying if she didn't go with him, he'd cut
her from ear to ear.
The woman told Williams she was driven
to a location on Highway 11 where she was forced out of the car and
left on the side of the road.
The victim told Williams she was afraid
she was going to be killed during the ordeal.
Darrell Voiles was picked up and
charged with aggravated kidnapping a few days later. See full story in the Sunday, Jan. 27, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
