SWEETWATER-The Sweetwater Board of Education met briefly last Monday night in a called meeting to award the furniture bid for the new administration building nearing completion next to Sweetwater Junior High.

The bid was awarded to low bidder, Workspace Solutions. The bid amount from the company is $33,456.

The new Central Office on South Clark Street should be completed in a few weeks, with the school system preparing to change over to the new building in February.

Workers are also putting the finishing touches on renovations at Brown Intermediate School, which includes enclosed walkways, a new freezer for the cafeteria and a more secure front office.
