Jobs, investment growth at TRDA
Author: Staff Report The year 2012 was a year of growing investment and jobs for the Tellico West industries. Tellico Reservoir Development Agency (TRDA) Board Chairman and Monroe County Mayor Tim Yates said though the county's unemployment rate (9.1 percent) is still higher than what officials would like to see, the job stability, growth and increased investments in the Tellico West Industrial Park are encouraging. According to TRDA, the industrial park reported 400 new jobs during the past 12 months, bringing the total employment in the park to 3,700 jobs.
