SWEETWATER-A Niota area man with a
history of driving offenses was arrested again Jan. 3 after he was
spotted having trouble driving on Highway 11.
Sweetwater Police Officer Tommy Jones
said it was just before 10 p.m. when he went to assist Officer
Suzanne Ward with a possible drunk driver.
When he arrived he saw a man later
identified as Albert Lee McCowan, 51, County Road 275, Niota, nearly
fall on Ward as he got out of the car.
Jones said both officers tried to talk
to McCowan, but he staggered around, even when he was bracing himself
on his car and eventually had to be put in a patrol car for his own
safety. See full story in the Wednesday, Jan. 9, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
