The Sweetwater Wildcats could not handle the Lenoir City Panthers durning a contest in the Lenoir City Christmas Tournament. Nick Wicker led the Wildcats in scoring with six points, but the Panthers dominated the court to the tune of a 76-22 win. Brandon Clark had four points in the loss, well off his normal average.
The Panther's defense was strong all night. Matt Spencer added three points in the losing effort. Seth Battle, Tyler Watson, and Ricky Hernadez each had two points a piece. Malik Robinson had a basket and Ben Allen notched a free throw.
The Sweetwater Lady Cats were pounced on quickly by Loudon in the Lenoir City Christmas Tournament over the Christmas break, 56-15. Betsy Mashburn and Nicole Burgess both led Sweetwater in scoring with four points a piece. Mandalyn McNabb netted two points as did Jessica Singer. Tyra Husrt also scored a basket for the Lady Cats. Sweetwater lost two games in the tournament, including one to Hardin Valley 64, Lady Cats 17
