A Tellico Plains woman was arrested after she allegedly provided drugs to her son and other inmates at various work location in Monroe County.

Monroe County Chief Deputy Brian Graves said Mary Millsaps, 59, Belltown Road, Tellico Plains, had confessed between Sept. 11 and Dec. 20 she dropped various pills, including Oxycodone, Percocet and Opana at work sites where her son, Jeff "Bosco" Millsaps and other inmates were working.

When confronted by a officers about the allegations at the Notchey Creek Landfill on Dec. 20, Millsaps confessed and was found to have two Oxycodone pills in her ashtray lighter.

Millsaps is charged with possession of a schedule II narcotic with intent to deliver and criminal conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal facility.

Jeffery Millsaps, 40, is charged with criminal conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal facility.
