SWEETWATER-Monroe County Sheriff's
Deputy C. J. Williams had a busy shift from Monday to Tuesday as he
dealt with two people who had no interest in being arrested.
Williams said it was around 7:20 p.m.
Monday when he was on New Highway 68 near Old Mine Road when he saw a
woman walking down the side of the highway.
Williams said as he passed the woman,
she threw up her arms, holding a white cup. Williams turned around
and went to check on the woman to see if she needed any help.
Williams said when he talked to the
woman, later identified as Susan Leanne Fry, 29, Rhyne Road,
Sweetwater, he noticed a strong odor of alcohol on her. Fry admitted
she had been drinking Vodka and was unsteady on her feet, had slurred
speech and bloodshot eyes.
Williams asked her if she had anything
illegal on her and she said she had "roaches" in her bra.
Williams said Fry became irate then and cursed him several times. See full story in the Wednesday, Dec. 19, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
