SEQUOYAH- The Sequoyah Chiefs were in all to familiar position on Tuesday night. They were down by double digits in the first quarter. On Monday night the Chiefs battled back from a 10-point deficit to beat the Yellow Jackets, but could not muster the same court savy, losing 67-54 to Loudon on Tuesday night.

Loudon hit a barrage of three point baskets from all over the court while also scoring in the paint. Down the stretch the Redskins hit 9 of 11 from the free throw line in the fourth to seal the deal. Andrew Millsaps lead the Chiefs in scoring with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Taylor Hawkins had 16 points and 7 boards, while Shon Stevens had 4.

The perimeter defense for the Redskins was outstanding, as Stevens netted 17 the night before, but was limited to just 1-5 shooting from behind the arc. Chiefs were down just 12-8 at the start of the second quarter but were under the gun 30-18 at the half. The lead ballooned to 42-24 in the third before the Chiefs made a run. Millsaps scored 8 of his 23 in the third. Hawkins scored 10 of his 16 in the third. Reuben Abernathy logged more time because of an injury to Brett King in the second. Abernathy had 6 points, Braden Strickland had 2, as did Seth Schaffer. King finished with a free throw.

Loudon's free throw fundamentals combined turnovers and failed possessions on Sequoyah's end, drug out the fourth quarter. Sequoyah shot poorly from outside and just couldn't make it count when they got to the line. Stevens only 3-point basket made was at the end of the game. In order for the Chiefs to win they'll have to start shooting the ball better from the charity stripe.
