April Duckett-White's vehicle is stuffed to the gills with shopping bags and gifts after a 15-hour search for deals.

"I am literally the expert at Black Friday shopping," said White, deputy administrator for the Monroe County Election Commission, who shopped from 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving day to 8 a.m. on Black Friday.

White has been participating in the highly anticipating shopping day for more than 15 years. It is now a tradition for her family.

"It's an annual event for my mom, sister and daughter and me. We're serious about it. We make out an itinerary, figure out where we're going to go first and who's getting what," said White.

White's thrill of the deal seems to have been inherited.

"My 65-year-old mother can outlast all of us," White laughed. "Mom carries big manila envelopes with our names on them, containing all the coupons and sales she cuts out for each of us."

Retailers are now cashing in on Black Friday more than ever before, providing sales as early as Thanksgiving Day. The early Thanksgiving Day sales have become so successful Walmart of Madisonville employees have begun to refer to it as "Blue Thursday."
