The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal shooting Friday morning at 325 Towee Falls Road near Tellico Plains. Investigators say a 38-year-old woman was killed in what appears to be a drug-related shooting. The name of the victim, who was shot in the head, has not yet been released and no arrests had been made as of Friday night.
