JTEKT President Craig Woodford, right, was recently on hand to help serve Thanksgiving dinner
to employees at the Vonore plant. Human Resources Manager Terry Knight said the dinner is
way to thank employees for all their hard work in making JTEKT on of the top companies in the
area.

VONORE-It is a time to be thankful at
JTEKT in Vonore.
As all companies did during the worst
of the economic downturn, JTEKT experienced some tough times back in
2008 and 2009, but the company has been on a steady rise since that
time.
JTEKT is so positive about the future,
the company is in the process of buying the former Cobalt building
nearby, Human Resource Manager Terry Knight said. According to
Knight, the company has been leasing the building and hopes to make
an official announcement soon about the actual purchase of the
massive facility that is more than 400,000 square feet in size.
"It's huge," Knight said.
Knight said the extra space will be
used for warehousing and shipping and receiving, which will free up
space for manufacturing growth in the current building. See full story in the Wednesday, Nov. 21, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
