OK, the election is over and
President Barrack Obama has four more years to lead this country-- like it
or not. Republicans and Democrats need to get over themselves and
their petty political stances and go forward with why they were sent
to Washington in the first place. Obama won the popular vote and the
electoral vote; there is a message in that.
Look at the big picture, Congress! Do
what is best for all of the people. Electing to do nothing is a bad
decision. That sounds like I am stating the obvious but Congress has
demonstrated, over the last four years, they do not see the obvious.
You have a few weeks to settle on this
fiscal cliff the country is facing. Get it done and stop thinking
about who is going to get the credit or the blame. If Mr. Boehner
says his party is going to vote "NO" for anything the Democrats
propose, he should be asked to step down from his position. If the
Democrats refuse to find some middle ground, they too should pay a
price back home.
The people in the Northeast of the USA
are suffering and they need help from the rest of us and from their
Government. They do not need to be put on hold because Congress is
nitpicking over some detail with a political basis. This country is
in the shape it is in because the people elected to go to Washington
are more interested in the politics than they are in doing their
jobs. We am not sure they really understand their jobs.
