SWEETWATER-The second National
Muscadine Festival was a huge success, according to the Sweetwater
Merchants and Property Owners Association (SMPOA).
"I think the crowd doubled," SMPOA
President Bryan Burchfield said during the recent SMPOA meeting at
City Hall.
The festival began Friday, Sept. 28 at
Tsali Notch Vineyard between Madisonville and Sweetwater and moved to
downtown Sweetwater that night for entertainment and for a full day
on Saturday. Burchfield said there were estimates that 7,000 to
8,000 came to the downtown. See full story in the Wednesday, Oct. 24, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
