A Madisonville area man received a
solid eight-year sentence Monday after he pleaded guilty to a charge
of aggravated exploitation of a minor. A charge of sexual
exploitation of a minor was dismissed.
Michael Reed Isbill, 39, was indicted
by a Monroe County Grand Jury in May 2011 after it was discovered in
January and February of that year he'd been in possession of
magazines that contained child pornography.
Isbill underwent a mental evaluation
earlier this year that stated he was mentally competent to stand
trial, but pleaded before his case was brought before a jury.
In addition to serving the full eight
years, Isbill must register as a sex offender when he is released.
