SWEETWATER-Enough is enough, the City of Sweetwater says.

Tired of watching the historic TMI/TMG property fall into further ruin as an ongoing legal dispute drags on between two separate groups both claiming to own the campus, the City of Sweetwater has asked Chancellor Jerri Bryant to award it ownership of the 144-acre property.

Mayor Doyle Lowe said city leaders have received numerous complaints from citizens and former TMI graduates about the property.

"The City of Sweetwater has individual citizens, civic organizations and resident businesses ready, willing and able to partner with the city with substantial and in-kind goods and services to renovate, remodel, occupy and use TMG property in the public interest," the city states in court papers.

The city further states: "The City of Sweetwater has assets, cash flow and resources to manage the TMG property in the public interest."
