SWEETWATER-A man and woman who
allegedly stabbed a man while his 11-year-old daughter was in the
house have been given a trial date for attempted murder.
James Dean Ware and Avis Yvette Stalvey
are scheduled to go to trial March 20 next year on charges they tried
to kill Dwight Richesin on Sept. 3, 2011.
At the time of the alleged attack,
Monroe County Sheriff's Detective D.W. Brannon said Richesin was at
the BP station on Main Street in Sweetwater when Stalvey, 44, Lee's
Chapel Road, Sweetwater, and James Dean Ware, 44, Wayman Road,
Madisonville, confronted him over some apparent past arguments.
Brannon said he didn't think the duo
had any direct problems with Richesin, but with members of his
family.
After exchanging words, Brannon said
Richesin left the BP and drove to his home on Latham Loop with
Stalvey and Ware following close behind. There was some reported
minor damage to both cars indicating they bumped each other on the
two-mile trip. See full story in the Sunday, Oct. 21, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
