On Thursday night, the gridiron girls
at Sequoyah High School competed in the annual Powder Puff games.
Juniors quarterback Savannah Swanson follows her block to the
outside, as a freshÂman defender reaches for the flag. Chiefs
Head Baseball Coach Adam Kefauver and head referÂree noted, "This
is always a good event. Everyone enjoys it. A lot of people came out
tonight and they definitely got a show." Proceeds from the event
benefit the Sequoyah High School baseball team. Despite it being a
flag football tourney, the players competed as if it were a high
school football game. "I'm probably the most hated man at
Sequoyah High School right now," joked Kefauver, in reference to
the calls he made on the field. Kefauver had the task of officiating
the game with his baseball staff and players, who ran the chains,
scoreboards and various tasks at the game. See more photos on page C8
