The first edition of The People Paper is on news stands now.

This publication replaces what was formerly known as The Valley News, which was circulated free to non-subscribers of The Advocate & Democrat in Monroe County.

The People Paper is also offered in various locations around Monroe County at no charge. To begin, there will be 6,000 free copies distributed in the county each Sunday.

The People Paper is about the faces and names of the people in Monroe County. As an example, the paper's staff often takes more photos of an event than is possible to run in the newspaper. The People Paper is an opportunity to share those additional photos and the names of the people in them.

If you do not get a copy of The People Paper delivered to your home, they will be available at most convenience stores and the other locations you found the Valley News.
