A Sweetwater truck driver and former Wichita Falls man was jailed in Texas on two charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child in addition to being charged as a fugitive on a rape of a child charge in Tennessee.

Lewis Edward Campbell, 40, is held on bonds totaling more than $1 million.

According to arrests affidavits, the Texas Department of Family and Protective Service got a report in early February about a Wichita Falls child possibly being sexually abused. The child was interviewed at Patsy's House Children's Advocacy Center. The child told of incidents that happened at a house in north Wichita Falls. The child said similar acts had occurred since August 2011. Campbell's address is listed in Sweetwater, Tenn. The affidavit claims he was employed as an over-the-road truck driver. He was reportedly arrested in the Dallas area.
