VONORE-A Monroe County teenager who had
been missing since Sept. 11 was found just a short distance from his
house Wednesday, an apparent victim of electrocution.
Monroe County Sheriff's Detective
Doug Brannon said Tucker Wells, who turned 18 three days before he
was reported missing, was found in high weeds near a power line pole
close to his house in the Vonore area.
"There was evidence an attempt had
been made to cut into some power lines," Brannon said. "We're
working a joint investigation with Fort Loudoun to find out exactly
what happened."
Detective Jennifer Bledsoe confirmed
Friday that Wells had cut into pipe attached to a power pole at the edge
of his property.
Bledsoe an autopsy hadn't been
completed, but the evidence pointed to electrocution as the cause of
death.
"There's no evidence of foul play," Brannon said, "and no evidence anyone else was around at the
time this happened."
Brannon said Wells had finished high
school and was living with his father at the time of his death.
