MADISONVILLE-It's good to be King. Blake Huffman was crowned Homecoming king on Friday night, and also found time to dominate Cumberland County, helping his Chiefs defeat the Jets, 48-0.

Huffman was the main cog in an offense that racked up 516 yards of total offense. The bruising back hauled in 5 catches for 104 yards and a score. Two of the catches were acrobatic grabs that brought the Sequoyah faithful to their feet.

Huffman also added a rushing score. The Chiefs spread the ball around Huffman's dominant performance. Forrest McKane scored on the opening drive with a 6-yard run, as the Chiefs led early 6-0.

Sequoyah made it a two-score lead when Austin Lunsford hauled in a 6-yard slant pass making it 14-0. Huffman then rattled off a 5-yard touchdown run to wind down the first quarter. Chiefs led 21-0 after one.

Garret Dalton ran a reverse in for a touchdown from 4 yards out. That made the score 28-0 before the half. Dalton also had three catches for 56 yards. Just as halftime was nearing Brett King found Huffman for a 5-yard score making the halftime mark 34-0.

After the half the Chiefs defense really shined. Defensively Sequoyah held Cumberland County to just 98 total yards. Dustin Webb, Caleb Minor, Ben Hall and Thomas Spradlin all had huge games. All three of those Chiefs combined for a sack, while McKane and Mikenzy Blair added another. Matt Gletty picked off a Jordan Buckner pass during the Jets only visit to the red zone.

There were some big plays on offense in the third. Matt Gletty brought down a huge 60-yard bomb inside the 5-yard line and King did the rest rushing 4 yards to pay dirt.

Drew Carson capped off the night with a jolt in the fourth. Carson broke into the Jet's second level, and raced 96-yards to the end zone. Logan McDonald hit his fouth extra point of the game, and Sequoyah enjoyed a rousing Homecoming win 48-0.

Sequoyah (4-1, 1-0) hosts McMinn Central in two weeks.
