MADISONVILLE-Tellico Plains area couple has been indicted on second-degree murder charges stemming from the death of a woman in March.

Kimberly Sue Ricker and Wayne Clarence Jones were arraigned in Monroe County Criminal Court Monday after the grand jury found enough reason for the case against them to continue.

Mary Shaw, 79, died March 10, several days after she had reportedly been abused so badly by Ricker, 44, that she ended up in Woods Hospital in Etowah. Authorities said Ricker is also known by the names Jones, Maddox, Mitchell and Chastain.
