The Jim Miller murder case has been
getting all the attention in past weeks, but another Monroe County
killing is scheduled to go to trial this month, and Judge Carroll
Ross has been ruling on motions made in the death of Tony Presley.
Nicholas Dean Jones, Cheryl Rebecca
Norwood and John Tyler Brown, all with Tellico Plains area addresses,
were all indicted last year on charges of first-degree murder,
conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, facilitation to commit
first-degree murder, accessory after fact to first-degree murder,
abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, arson, all involving
Presley. Norwood is also charged with theft over $10,000 and illegal
